Memory Reel

Program Note:

Memory Reel explores the very lovely texture of the small but mighty woodwind quartet. It’s about the nostalgia and comfort that old videos can bring us. I am often comforted watching old videos of my friends and I doing incredibly braindead acts or watching my family open Christmas gifts. The piece grows from comfort to captivation as the memories become more vivid until you’re overrun by them.
